FRIT Participation in the Cincinnati Conference on Romance Languages and Literatures

Students at Cincinnati Conference

A number of our current and former students in French recently participated in the annual Cincinnati Conference on Romance Languages and Literatures at the University of Cincinnati. They took a moment to thank their common advisor, Prof. Danielle Marx-Scouras, by sending her a photo of her "brood." Pictured, from left to right, are Elizabeth Willis (current PhD student); Michael Gott (BA, 2002); Xinyi Tan (current PhD student); and Adrianne Barbo (PhD, 2015). Also presenting at the conference was Brian Troth (current PhD student), whose advisor is Prof. Benjamin Hoffmann. Michael Gott went on to earn his PhD in French from the University of Texas and is now Assistant Professor of French at the University of Cincinnati. Michael was one of the organizers of the conference. Adrianne Barbo is completing her first year of a two-year Mellon Postdoctoral Fellowship at Oberlin College. Thank you all for making FRIT proud.
