Dennis Minahen gave a paper entitled "A chacun(e) son Rimbaud: Life, Work, Myth" at the Nineteenth-Century French Studies Colloquium, Indiana University, 21 October 2006.

Laura Pondea presented "Jacques Godbout et les espaces commerciaux: mise en littérature comme mise en garde" at the 15th biennial conference of the American Council for Quebec Studies, Cambridge, Massachusetts, October 12-14, 2006.

Charles Klopp read a paper on "Trieste, città di carta?" at the American Association of Italian Studies/American Association of Teachers of Italian Convention held in Genova, Italy, on May 26, 2006.  Prof. Klopp also chaired a session at the same meeting on "Italian Travel."

Heather Webb presented  "Embryology in Paradiso 25" at the 41st annual International Congress on Medieval Studies, Kalamazoo, Michigan, May 4-7, 2006.

Wynne Wong presented a paper entitled "Enseigner la grammaire a travers le Processing Instruction" in an invited symposium of the Annual Meeting of the American Association for Applied Linguistics on June 17-20, 2006 in Montreal, Canada.  Prof. Wong also gave an invited keynote talk entitled " Structured Input: Grammar Activities for the Foreign Language Classroom" for the Annual Meeting of the American Association for Teachers of Korean at Princeton University on June 22-24, 2006.

John Conteh-Morgan read a paper, “The Power and Pleasures of Dramatized Folktale Narrative: Zadi Zaourou’s La guerre des femmes” at the International Colloquium on “Le conte: Oral and Written Interfaces” held in Queen’s University, Belfast, UK, September 1-2, 2006.
