French Study Abroad Opportunities

The Department of French and Italian and the Office of International Affairs offers many opportunities for study abroad in a Francophone country. The Department of French and Italian very strongly encourages students to take advantage of these options. Immersion in the culture of a French-speaking society is essential for a student’s confidence and fluency in the language. Study abroad can also offer some of the most rewarding and memorable moments of a student’s college career.

French programs sponsored by the department include the following:

5-week Summer Program:

6-week Summer Program (instruction in English with optional French courses available):

Academic Year Program only (Prereq. 2 400-level French courses):

For information regarding application procedures, accommodations, costs, and credits, you must plan on visiting the OIA study abroad advisors in Oxley Hall (1712 Neil Ave) and/or attending a study abroad informational meeting at OIA . Advisors are available on a walk-in basis Mon-Fri, 10-12 and 1-4. Check with OIE (292-6101) for meeting times.
