22nd Annual Student Research and Scholarship Forum
FRIT was proudly represented at Newark’s 22nd Annual Student Research and Scholarship Forum by four exceptional students whose work highlights the department’s commitment to global learning and experiential education. Josh McNichols presented on his STEP experience with Dr. Lucille Toth, which culminated in a study trip to Paris with Dr. Kate Schlosser as part of the Global May Paris program. Vinny Tippett, Jordan Waid, and Carly Williams, alumni of FRIT 3054: Global Citizenship, shared their COIL project experience, reflecting on seven weeks of collaboration with students in Mexico. Their presentation showcased the power of international, virtual exchange to foster intercultural competence, cross‑cultural learning, and global citizenship.
