Professor Ryan Joyce is participating in the inaugural Engaged Scholars Academy, organized by Ohio State’s Office of Outreach and Engagement. Over the course of the year, the Academy convenes to define and explore community engagement, discuss the value of engaged scholarship, and meet with community leaders to better understand critical local issues. Professor Joyce will also use this time to collaborate with other faculty, develop partnerships, and design a sustainable engagement initiative, focused especially on expanding language and cultural education for underserved communities in Columbus and Central Ohio.
