As a graduate student, how do you frame your job search? How do you decide what kind of career you want to pursue? "Career diversity" is about embracing a range of opportunities for employment beyond the conventional tenure track. Anne McDaniel, Nicole Nieto and Leigh Bonds, Ph.D's all, made a choice to find fulfilling work outside the confines of traditional academic appointments. They'll share their experiences in a candid conversation with graduate students.
If you're on the market, finishing a degree, or just considering what lies beyond coursework, join Drs. McDaniel, Nieto and Bonds for a discussion of how to go about making the career--and the life--you want.
Leigh Bonds got her PhD in 18th century literature and works today as a digital librarian working to build a digital humanities network at OSU; Nicole Nieto has a PhD from OSU in Women's, Gender and Sexuality Studies and works on outreach and engagement for the Office of Academic Affairs, Anne McDaniel has a PhD in Sociology from OSU and currently works with the Office of Student Life to, among other things, support graduate student programs and services and programs that advance students’ digital engagement.
