FRENCH 3804: French Kiss

Exploration of cultural texts (stories, songs, films, paintings, photos, etc.) that represent love and sex in France, from medieval courtly love, to 18th-century libertinism, to the swinging 1960s, to dating apps and the #Me Too movement. Examination of the historical and cultural, and therefore changing, nature of "acceptable" and "unacceptable" forms of love and sex.
