Chelsea Hill: French and International Studies Double Major and Jeopardy! Star

On January 4, 2019 OSU graduate Chelsea Hill appeared on Jeopardy! where she did very well, placing second after the four-day champ! Chelsea double-majored in French and International Studies (relations & diplomacy concentration) with a minor in Arabic. Following graduation, Chelsea did TAPIF for a year in Boulogne-Billancourt, Hauts-de-Seine where she worked in two collèges - Collège Jean Renoir and Collège Paul Landowski. Later, she moved to Dallas, Texas to work with a refugee resettlement agency through the Americorps VISTA program before coming to New York. Since June she’s worked in a State Senate office in Queens, mostly doing administrative and scheduling work for a long-serving Democratic Senator named Toby Ann Stavisky. Of her Jeopardy! experience, Chelsea writes: “I was so nervous for that daily double since it was on the $2000 spot and we hadn't done any other clues in the category yet so I was VERY happy to have known it! I can certainly say my French knowledge helped - since they said the answer coming from the Latin for ‘free’ and knowing free = libre in French really solidified it for me, even more so than the Casanova reference.”
