Yongnan Zhang obtained her B.A. in Italian Language and Literature from Shanghai International Studies University in 2018. She developed her interests in post-war Italian politics and popular culture during her exchange program in 2019, at University of Trento. In 2021, she graduated from Shanghai International Studies University with a M.A. in Italian Studies, after completing her thesis “I politici ribelli: L’Umorismo e la politica in Italia nell’epoca di nuovi media”. She is currently in her first year of Italian studies at The Ohio State University.
