FRIT 5051: Latin and the Romance Languages

Examines the socio-historical factors and the linguistic processes that contributed to the formation of the Romance languages and to their divergences. Course taught in English.

Prereq: Equivalent of 1103 in Italian, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Romanian, or Latin, or permission of instructor. Not open to students with credit for RomLing 5051 or Clas 5051. Cross-listed in Clas and RomLing.
