Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. However, all programs and activities are being administered in compliance with federal and state law.

French Conversation Groups

Students in Ohio Union

Meet to read aloud in Medieval French and learn about the language and culture - for scholarly inquiry or sheer amusement. No prior experience needed! Tuesdays 7:45pm-8:45pm EST on Zoom. Read aloud from texts in medieval French with facing English translations and discuss language, culture, and themes. No prior experience or fluency needed. Intended as a way to either learn or engage further with Old French. Contact Professor Sarah-Grace Heller (heller.64@osu.edu) for more information.

Wish you could use your French and find others who want to read, listen, and converse in it? We will use short stories and media as a springboard for sharing our experiences and views. This series is designed for intermediate-to-advanced French language learners and speakers, and offers a friendly space for enjoying the language and some of the cultures where it is spoken.

French Conversation Group at Bexley Public Library. Sundays 1:00-2:00. Conversation hour for intermediate to advanced speakers. Contact Professor Sarah-Grace Heller (heller.64@osu.edu) for more information.
