Francophone Day 2025
As part of the Celebration of International Francophone Day, we invite you to submit a video featuring this year’s theme: highlighting the initiatives in creativity, innovation, and/or entrepreneurship in the francophone world.
First place winners for each category will earn a prize. Their work will be showcased during Ohio State's Francophone Day Celebration on March 20, 2025 (details below in Celebration section). Winners are selected by a jury composed of Ohio State Faculty, Graduate Associates, and Undergraduate Students.
The deadline for entries is 11:59pm on Friday, February 21, 2025. Winners will be notified by March 3, 2025.
- All work must be submitted via this Form.
- Individual or small group entries are permitted (group of 3 maximum)
- Contest requirements:
- Project’s length varies by proficiency levels:
- High School: video must be 1 minute minimum
- 1101/1155/1102: video must be 1:30 minute minimum
- 1103/2101: video must be 2 minutes minimum
- Above 2101: video must be 2:30 minutes minimum
- *Videos should not be longer than 6 minutes, regardless of proficiency levels and excluding credits.
- At least 50% of the video content must include at least one French-speaking region/country outside of hexagonal France. More information on la f/Francophonie: FAQs - Synergie Francophone.
- Videos must have been made within the last year.
- Projects should aim to meet the criteria in this rubric (downloadable version in linked flyer):

Students over 18, or parents/guardians of minor students, must review and submit the registration form before Friday, March 7, 2025.
