Join Canada’s award-winning artist and mental health activist Florence K as she talks about mental health issues in the academic world (and beyond) and dazzles us with her musical talent in a concert performed in several languages (English, French, Italian, Spanish, & Portuguese).
A graduate student and author of several books documenting her own experience with mental illness, Florence will discuss how the pressures of academic life can impact our mental health and how to recognize the warning signs before issues escalate into more serious conditions. She will also talk about the need to destigmatize mental illness before sitting at her piano to offer us a concert.
Talk is in English. The event is open to the public and is free, but registration is required.
