2020-03-02 09:00:00 2020-03-02 17:00:00 OSU Francophone Day For its first edition, the OSU Francophone Day will be dedicated to Africa(s) and its Diasporas, as France initiates a season of African cultures in France in 2020. The event will consist of activities, workshops, lectures and is not only expected to enrich students with knowledge about Africa, France, Haiti, Canada, but also develop their interest in studying French in their future academic careers. Some of the speakers are Maud Bahoua (France, Ivory Coast), Matondo Ngemba (Great Lakes region in Africa) Thierno Aliou ( West Africa, North Africa), Eric Tsimi ( Diasporas and North America). To register, contact: Eric Tsimi Schedule of Events Monday, March 2nd--Hayes Hall 24/25 9:00-9:15 Introductions and welcome Speech ( Prof. Dana Renga, chair) 9:15-9:40 mini class in French and in English 10:00-10:45 Students take the placement test (instructors grade during the visit) 10:45-11:00 break - coffee, milk, donuts 11:00-11:30 mini class 11:30-12:00 mini class 12:00-12:45 Lunch (Prof. Jennifer Willging and other Faculty will stay for a few mins to answer questions and meet the students). 9:00-9:15 Introductions and welcome Speech ( Prof. Dana Renga, chair)
9:15-9:40 mini class in French and in English
10:00-10:45 Students take the placement test (instructors grade during the visit)
10:45-11:00 break - coffee, milk, donuts

11:30-12:00 mini class
