The Student Office Assistant will be responsible for the following:
- Supports daily office duties to serve FRIT faculty, staff, and students;
- Helps to design and maintain webpages and create posts to social media accounts and newsletters;
- Assists with departmental events and activities;
- Communicates effectively using University email and Microsoft Office365;
- Holds consistent weekly office hours and demonstrates punctuality, professional acumen, and decorum.
Required Qualifications
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience with best practices in Instagram, Facebook and AI Tools to facilitate content creation.
- Major or minor in French or Italian.
We are also hiring for 2 Global Engagement Interns.
PROFICIENCY IN FRENCH OR ITALIAN IS REQUIRED.
Two creative, motivated students are wanted to help expand the reach of French and Italian language and culture at Ohio State by building a network of students, faculty, alumni, and community partners along the way.
What you'll do:
- Build a database of people and organizations connected to French and Italian language and culture, on campus and beyond.
- Explore partnerships with cultural institutions, professional networks, alumni, and related industries
- Create storytelling and promotional content (infographics, flyers, Instagram stories) that spotlight students, alumni, and partners.
Duration: Fall 2026-Spring 2027
Hours: 4-5 hours per week (10 max.)
Start Date: September 21, 2026
What we're looking for:
- Interested in French or Italian language, culture, or global engagement.
- Organized, curious, and comfortable with independent research
- Comfortable with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and AI-powered tools.
- Degree-seeking students at the Bachelor level
