We know that we will be a more effective committee the more we hear and learn from you. To that end, we’re setting up this portal for you to share your thoughts directly with us. If you would like us to respond to you, please include your name, but you can also express yourself with complete anonymity.
If there are general aspects of your experience of our departmental community that you want us to know about, we want to hear it! If there are specific areas where you would like to see our department make improvements, let us know! We certainly look forward to creative suggestions for ways in which our committee can further promote diversity, equity, inclusion and anti-racism in and beyond our department, but we also welcome critique. We want to be accountable to you, and if there are aspects of what our committee is doing (or not doing) that trouble you, please let us know that too.
One thing this portal is NOT for is to document incidents of harassment or discrimination, not because they shouldn’t be reported (they absolutely should) but because our committee lacks the resources to respond adequately. For that, please turn to the Office of Institutional Equity (which we also link to below).
