Troy Weider (Class of 2018) won an Undergraduate Research Scholarship, an International Research Grant, and a Global Mobility Grant from OURCI to do research in Texas and Alsace, France this past December. Weider, who is writing his Honors thesis on an old community of Alsatian immigrants in Texas, focused on their feelings about newer immigrant communities in the area, and their efforts to preserve their language and culture.  He is currently double majoring in French and Business and has also recently accepted a job with American Airlines.
