Samanta Buffa is a Ph.D. student and Teaching Assistant in Italian at the Department of French and Italian at the Ohio State University.

Samanta Buffa holds a B.A. in Modern Italian Literature from the University of Catania, a M.A. cum laude in Linguistics and Multicultural Communication, with a major in Teaching Italian to foreigners from the Università per Stranieri di Siena, and a M.A. from OSU. While in Siena, she won a fellowship to do an internship at the Italian Institute of Culture in Melbourne, Australia. There, she conducted thesis research on the cultural, linguistic, and social conditions of the second and third-generation Italians in Melbourne. In 2012, she won an assistantship to teach Italian at Bucknell University, PA. Since her arrival to Columbus in 2014, she has taught Italian to students from elementary to college level.
