Education Abroad for Students of French and Italian
The Office of International Affairs and the Department of French and Italian sponsor a variety of language and culture study abroad programs. Education abroad can expand your worldview, enhance your career prospects and ultimately change your life. At Ohio State, you have the opportunity to gain an education abroad experience by taking classes through an exchange program or foreign university, complete an independent study or service learning project, conduct research or participate in an internship program. This guide offers preliminary information on current programs. Funding
A variety of funding opportunities are available for students of French or Italian towards tuition or studying abroad in OSU Approved French or Italian programs. Students majoring in Romance Studies whose primary language is French or Italian are also eligible for many awards. Applications for Departmental awards are generally due in early spring.

Internships for Students of French & Italian
Many great internship experiences exist for students of French & Italian. Students in world languages are encouraged to take advantage of any opportunity which will increase their chances of success in a dynamic professional environment. More information is available through the Advanced Language Institute in the Center for Languages, Literatures, & Cultures. Other options are also on offer through the Office of Student Life. Students should consult their Academic and Faculty Advisors to identify specific opportunities and discuss what options are best for them, their programs, and career goals.
